LACURA Renew Multi Intensive Serum Trial

Road-tested:
LACURA Renew Multi Intensive Serum
Reviewers:
Twenty female reviewers aged 35-45 years with all skin types. They applied the serum onto clean skin daily after cleansing, spreading evenly over their face and neck area. Testers were also advised to allow time for the product to soak into the skin before applying other moisturisers or sunscreens.
Overall star rating during this trial*:
beautyheaven says:
LACURA® Renew Multi Intensive Serum is a lightweight cream gel that has been developed scientifically and contains a combination of ingredients including mimox, vitamins E and C, and macadamia oil, to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. Its unique moisture complex helps boost skin hydration levels for up to 24 hours, and with regular use, it leaves the skin feeling smoother and tighter.
Many Trial Team members mentioned they had heard of the brand LACURA previously, which is a part of Aldi’s exclusive – and affordable – skin care and beauty range. Many also stated they’d never tried anything from the range, but were keen to try out the product because they’d heard so many great things about the brand.
Most members found the serum worked well for their skin type, even those who suffer from sensitivity. They found it moisturising, and that it left their skin feeling hydrated, smooth and plump. Some with oilier skins found the serum provided enough hydration, so they skipped their usual moisturisation step. Many appreciated the luxe look of the glass bottle, as well as the pump top design, which made the product easy to dispense, however some testers did note that the fragrance was somewhat strong in comparison to other serums they’d tried. A majority of the trialers said they would recommend this anti-ageing product to others, and are keen to repurchase not only this product, but other items from the LACURA range, too.

"I was impressed with the quality of the serum... I liked the way it absorbed into my skin quickly and easily…which made it easy to apply make-up over the top. The serum was not greasy and left my skin feeling plump and looking fresh... I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly serum that does what it says.” - Princess Lesletta. "I've only ever heard good things about Lacura products so it didn't really surprise me that this serum was pretty good. Having used a more expensive brand of serum very recently, I haven't noticed any change since I switched to the Lacura one. In my book, that's a pretty good result... The consistency is more like a day moisturiser than some other serums, so sometimes I've felt as though I didn't need to follow it up with a moisturiser... The one thing I didn't like is the fragrance." - Susanjane. Read more...
"I have used this serum both in the morning and evening and my skin has loved it. Whilst I can’t prove that there has been a huge visible difference to my skin, it certainly feels very soft and supple... It is a quality product at a ridiculously low price point and I can see no reason why you shouldn’t give this a try. I am really hoping that Aldi will open in South Australia soon so that I can repurchase once this bottle runs out." - Katek1. Read more...
"I've been slathering it on my face and neck for a couple of weeks and have noticed a definite and big difference in the plumpness and firmness of my skin... It's very hydrating but not at all heavy…It's increasingly giving my skin better and better texture the more I use this every day...I love the way my skin feels plumper and bouncier and fuller - dare I say more 'youthful' - such a cliché but with serum it's true for my skin.” - softness. "My skin has a nice dewy glow, which is lovely! My overall appearance looks nice and fresh. I have tried products very similar to this in the past with the same active ingredients for much more in cost and it's still a little hard to believe that it only cost $10... I will definitely have to investigate more of Aldi's beauty products next time I'm at one of my regular shops!” - Beauty Obsession. Read more...

I have tried MANY Lacura Products from Aldi, most are quite OK for my skin but some I will now not repurchase as my skin reacted after a few days' use. I have also tried their serums, my skin tolerated them but I did not notice an improvement in my skin texture. I do believe that those CHEAPER products often lack the quality of higher branded ones and my skin reminds me of that again and again. I still will try ALDI products again though, if I feel they may this time just be the right ones because you never know, they might just be....

I love this serum. Used it for years intermittently with my v expensive other preferred brand...evens the cost out! I don't need to use a moisturiser with the serum, my skin is soft, moist and plump. I am in mid 50's so bought the soy (gold packaging) serum a week ago instead of my usual renew Q10 ( red lid )I did find it too greasy heavy for my combination/ post menopausal skin.... Dealing with breakouts on temple and chin and heavy pores again! My husband finds the soy eye cream irritates his eyes -I do not have this problem withthe soy mature skin nor the Renew line- the Aqua line for younger skin is not hydrating enough for me. Renew smell not invasive, whereas soy has that old fashioned ponds smell.pump action easy to use, glass bottle a bit heavy, bulky to travel withnthoneasy enough to overcome that by decanting. Def recommend.

Since moving from the east coast to WA I've had Aldi withdrawal! Would love to get my hands on this but we'll be waiting awhile (WA = wait awhile so I've been told!) for Aldi to come over here.

I tried thiis skincare product which i purchased at Aldi and felt my skin improved even with the first application. I use this morning and evening before putting on my moisturiser and after only 1 week, i have notice my skin to feel spfter, smoother and appears more youthful. It has not erased the dine lines and wrinkles though after continued use for 1 month but i am still willing to repurchase another bottle because of the other benefits it gave to my skin.

I haven't tried serums yet, don't know if I will try one, i use moisturizing creams day and night think that's enough for me, plus I am my late 50s don't think anything will change my wrinkles. haha . We don't have an Aldi shop in w.a.
