To whip our solid perfume up, we used the household items below. But keep in mind, there are a tonne of different ways to make solid perfume at home, so we encourage you to experiment and find what works for you!
Ingredients:
10 drops of an essential oil of your choice (bh tip: you can substitute the essential oil out for your fave perfume and voila – a mini travel version!)
2 teaspoons of vaseline
2 teaspoons of almond oil
What you’ll need:
1 microwave-safe bowl
1 small container or tin
1 teaspoon
We guarantee it’s easy as pie and a lot of fun, but if the thought of a DIY experiment is making you queasy, you can't go wrong with a store-bought solid perfume. beautyheaven loves L’OCCITANE Roses et Reines Solid Perfume and Lush Gorilla Perfume Imogen Rose solid perfume.

Wow what an interesting idea I will have to get some almond oil and make a couple! Added to favourites as this is really cool, thanks for sharing.

A lovely idea but I often buy good neutral body lotion, put some lotion in a smaller container and then add a few drops of perfume. This way I have fragrant matching body lotion to my perfume and the lotion does not get 'old'. Once used up I make a new batch.

Natural beeswax would work better than Vaseline though... Vaseline melts too easily, imagine trying to carry that around in summer...!

Great idea, but I’m too lazy to do this. If you have the time and patience, and it’s something that interests you though then go for it!

I love a bit of DIY. Use deodorised cocoa butter or coconut oil for a non-petroleum based solid perfume.
