How-to: get your kids to eat vegetables

Is dinner time at your house a nightmare? Getting your kids to make healthy food choices can often prove more difficult than getting your kids to brush their teeth. Thankfully though, we’ve come up with the sneakiest technique ever for getting your children to start eating healthy, without even realising it!
Is it underhanded? Yes. Does it work? ABSOLTULTELY! In fact, this sneaky little technique won’t just get your kids eating their veggies – it will get them begging to eat more! Think we’re kidding? Try it and see…
Step one
Puree all your vegetables for the week separately and put into individual, labelled freezer bags.
Step two
Now the fun begins! Pureed veggies make your kids favourite treats twice as moist, triple as delicious and best of all they’re totally undetectable! Even the most hardened of vegetable haters won’t realise they’re eating them! Try these sneaky, tasty combinations:
Mix broccoli puree with whisked eggs and dunk chicken bites into the mixture before coating in breadcrumbs and frying. You’ll have to stifle your giggles when you watch how greedily your kids eat up their most hated vegetable!
Add pureed carrot, zucchini and Brussel sprouts to their favourite spaghetti bolognese sauce.
Pureed sweet potato and spinach added to chocolate brownie mixture will make the moistest and moreish brownies your kids have ever tasted. Even you won’t be able to believe how good this one tastes!
Add pureed broccoli and zucchini to macaroni and cheese and teach your kids how to eat healthy – the fun way!
Step three
Experiment! Once you start mixing pureed veggies into your kid’s favourite meals you’ll be surprised by how incredibly flavour enhancing they can be! Use your imagination and play around with different combinations – the pureed freezer bags of veggies will keep in your freezer for ages, so they‘re super handy too!

It’s obvious some patients with herpes are being enslaved to the antiviral and other supplementary Orthodox medicine just to help suppress the virus and not a cure. That's the cutest cauliflour I've ever seen! My kids are probably classed as weird because they actually love their veges and even fight over who gets the last piece of broccoli!! The eight year old often wins.

I think If you don't give your children junk they will like veggies. Once kids start drinking cordial and soft drink, they don't want water anymore.

I've had this conversation with friends so many times before. In a general survey of all my friends, those who were forced to eat vegetables as a child don't like vegetables as an adult. Those who weren't forced to eat vegetables as a child enjoy eating vegetables as an adult.
I love vegetables, there are very few that I don't like. I was never forced or bribed to eat vegetables as a child. If I didn't want to eat them, I didn't have too. But there were always vegetables on my plate at dinner time and no one said anything about having to clear your plate. I knew that this was dinner, if I didn't want to eat it I would go hungry.
Every one of my friends that doesn't like vegetables was forced or bribed ('no desert until you've eaten your vegetables') to eat them as a child.
I think that if the child is taught that vegetables are a punishment or that eating them is something that you 'have to do' then they will never eat them voluntarily.
If I have children I will take the same approch with them as my parents did with me. Eat them if you want too, go hungry if you don't.

My mum used to have to hide pumpkin in mash potato when we were little. We never knew any different and thought that orange mash was great!
Had a student once whose Mum made the spinach brownies. Been meaning to try it.
I also like that advert where the Mum makes "orange spagetti" out of grated carrot and pan-fries it a bit.

These are good ideas - even for adults! Although you obviously won't be fooling yourself.
