In case you haven’t noticed, people all over the world have been going absolutely gaga for Kylie Jenner’s lip creations. When the first three shades were made available, they sold out within a minute. And every single time a new shade is released, or another batch becomes available for purchase, the internet practically breaks down from the influx of visitors to kyliecosmetics.com.

bh’s Vanessa recently waited with bated breath for her purchase of ‘Candy K’ to process (after missing out on her first shade of choice ‘Koko K’) for five whole minutes before the payment was confirmed.
$AUD70 and two weeks later, the iconic lip colour was hers.

I honestly don't know what all the hype is. There are some amazing lipsticks in all sorts of brands and it doesn't matter what shade or brand you wear as long as you love it and it suits you.

If the model rock red is like the swatch I have to try it! I'm not a fan of the NYX butters though, they don't have much staying power unfortunately

I would happily choose Stila, Mac, Too Faced, Nyx or Bobby Brown over Kylies any day. Rimmel on the other hand not so much. I have tried that before for a wedding and it went too caked. I don't get the craz for this brand?

I don't like the Kardashians or what they stand for so I stay away from all their products, I have heard mixed reviews on her lip kits anyway. I have a lot of NYX lip glosses and lipsticks and I am happy with them so I wouldn't change.

NYX Liquid Suede/Lip Lingerie are the way to go - awesome staying power and colours, plus they don't cost a ridiculous amount for a "celebrity" name!

I also heard that the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt is a dupe for Candy K.
I have the NYX lipstick, but I haven't got Candy K so I wouldn't exactly know if it is. But I do love the NYX one.

$70? No thanks. Plus, I've heard really bad things about the company being slow to respond/sending products as well as the quality control of the product itself. For this price, I would prefer to buy a lipstick or gloss from a reputable brand such as Dior or Nars PLUS still have change in my pocket!

Each lip kit is US$29, which worked out to roughly A$40, I think that is great for a lipstick with a matching lip liner. I bought 3 lip kits and one lip gloss for just under A$150 including postage (my friend and I ordered together and split the postage, which was only A$20 anyway). I went to Mecca last week and bought a lipstick and a blush for just under the same amount....
Matte liquid lipsticks take a bit of getting use to in my opinion, but the finish and the staying power of them is fantastic. I have a terrible habit of constantly licking and biting my lips, but my liquid lipstick stays put for hours.

I would NOT pay $70 for lipstick ever! i just purchased a genuine Kylie Lip kit off ebay i am waiting for it to be posted!! Will post what i think of it!!

I would highly recommend colourpop as dupes. I've been using colorpop for a while and recently bought a lipkit. They are pretty much exactly the same!

A friend of mine has the red one and I have to say its pretty fab. It lasts ages and doesn't transfer onto glasses or anything. I didn't know that they were that expensive, but they're definitely quality.

I would never pay $70 for a lip product and I definitely don't buy celebrity products unless I know it is a truly fantastic and unique product. But each to their own, if the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit makes you happy, go for it.

The dupes recommended here really aren't that much cheaper than Kylie Jenner's Lip Kit, there are several other brands which are on the online market that are great and matte as well!
Definitely check out Ebay for these matte lip gloss that only sets you back $2-$3!

Definitely not worth $70 - I don't understand why people go so crazy over items by celebrities whose message is that in order to be acceptable as a TEENAGER one must undergo drastic surgery/facial modifications. I would, be much more impressed if the changes in the appearance of this teenage celebrity were due to clever make-up techniques not plastic surgery. I would buy the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. I like the above colour Istanbul. I'd never purchase a Kylie Jenner product.
