Flawless foundation routine for acne coverage
Finding a foundation routine for acne coverage can be difficult. You want a smooth, natural look, without your makeup looking too caked on. Which is why we’re sharing our favourite flawless foundation routine for acne coverage! Turns out, it’s not about applying layer upon layer of foundation because this not only hides the problem skin, but covers the good skin as well.
Watch the video above to learn our best tips and tricks to help you achieve a perfect complexion, even if you’re not having the best skin day.

Always moisturise and prime your skin
First and foremost, the most important step is making sure you always start with clean, moisturised skin. Then apply your primer with your fingers. Acne scars and pimples can make a bumpy surface that draws attention to problem areas when it catches the light so it’s really important to use a primer to smooth skin and create an even base for makeup application.
Apply foundation
Start blending the Nude by Nature Flawless Liquid Foundation onto your skin with a buffing brush, buffing into the skin in circular motions. Start with a thin layer and build it up only in the problem areas where you need more coverage. This will even out your skin tone while letting your skin show through, and will help avoid your base looking too cakey. The natural pigments in this foundation help to blend in with your complexion to provide a smooth finish.
Conceal areas that need more coverage
Apply the Nude by Nature Flawless Concealer in any areas where you’re breaking out and let it sit on the skin for a minute before blending it in with the concealer brush. If you need more coverage, go back over any pimples that might be still showing with a small amount of concealer on the brush, and blend it in. Using a small amount and thin layers of the product will take longer, but the end result will be much more natural. The final step is to set your base by applying the Nude by Nature Mineral Finishing Veil with a finishing brush. This helps set makeup and control oil and shine.

Wow, awesome results. Shows you can get good results with NBN, you just need to know what to use for good coverage. Also the importance of primer.

Beautiful result. I use the same routine with all 3 steps as my summer day time look and I'm 53 with a sensitive combination skin. These products are so versatile. Although I haven't had acne for years, I get the occasional hormonal pimple and these NBN products are so non comegenic they never aggrevate the breakout.

I tried the NBN products when they first came out and still have the mineral powder. The liquids certainly seem to have evolved over the years. It might be worthwhile having another look at what they now offer, because when I tried them years ago the powder was the only thing available amd then eventually the first lot of liquid makeups.

so I have read the you should use darker concealer to hide, because light concealers make things pop. Is that correct or not?

That is correct in a way. Ideally your concealer for your face (not under eyes or for highlighting) should match your foundation and skin tone. You want to conceal your spots/pigmentation or whatever.
For under eyes and highlighting, one shade or so lighter (at your discretion) as it will bring those points on your face forward
