Dry hand dramas

Many of us dread the dry and cracked skin that comes with the colder months. For me, there is never a shortage of body and face moisturisers in my beauty cupboard to help combat a dry face and body, but too often my hands are neglected. For some reason, I never treat them with equal love and care when it comes to hydration.
Well this winter it’s going to change, because really, it’s as easy as having a hydrating hand wash or soap by your kitchen and bathroom sink. For the kitchen, I’ve decided to opt for Dettol Healthy Touch Moisture Liquid Hand Wash because it not only moisturises your hands, but it also kills 99 per cent of germs.
In my bathroom I have already started using A’Kin Australian Native Rainforest Botanics Lemon Myrtle Hand Wash. The smell of this one is beautiful and it’s also anti-drying which is great for prevention. And since I’m vowing to take better care of my hands I’m going to go all out and keep a tube of Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream by my bed so that I remember to moisturise my hands every night before bed!

Great info. I believe hand moisturising is equally as important as moisturising the face.

I have tried so many hand creams and HAND WASHES but have not found one yet I would like to stick too, no matter what I've tried, my hands are always dry. Neither expensive nor cheaper brands have convinced me yet.

I do find if I over wash my hands they do tend to dry out. I moisturise to keep them supple.

I love the Aveeno cream. My hands and nails are not neglected in winter but they do demand more upkeep and often I just can't keep up.

Oh I've smelled the Grown hand cream at Priceline and it is simply divine, will have to get some next time I run out of my Cetaphil cream (which works wonders by the way but is unscented)

my hands are always dry during winter! I also looove the akin hand wash, it is absolutely beautiful. Best thing i have found to keep my hands hydrated and soft without feeling greasy is the Grown Vanilla and Orange Peel hand cream..love the smell works so well without leaving your hands oily. I found it at David Jones and would never go back :)
