Best eye drops for dry, red eyes?
Best eye drops for dry, red eyes?
After I work as a swim teacher my eyes are always so sore from the kids splashing everywhere! I know I could just wear goggles and look incredibly daggy but I would rather not. Has anyone used any good eye drops? I don't want to just go and buy some as I am a bit worried about putting stuff in my eyes that I don't know anything about!

The perfect!
I have just tried the Watermelon color from essie and my nails looks stunning! I love the vibrant color and received lots of compliments for.

I use Systane Balance Lubricating eye drops for my eyes. It helps relieve the dryness quite well.
Our brilliant eye specialist recommends Systane too - we use the Systane Ultra lubricating eye drops.
Absolutely love your new avatar, Thepinkshoe!
Systane it is then! Will try and find it :) thanks ladies!
And thanks Trish :) I took the picture a few years ago :)
You're VERY clever to take such a beautiful night time photo, Thepinkshoe! Systane is available at any pharmacy and I've bought it in the normal Priceline - doesn't have to be Priceline pharmacy. Do hope it helps.
check out this brand ROHTO - good eye drops
I generally use Naphcon A drops and find them to be mild and effective. :-)
I use visine, its available everywhere.
I use visine too, and it's not too badly priced in comparison to some others.
Just to put this out there, Visine is a vasoconstrictor andit might start constricting the blood vessels in your eyes on top of your dry eyes.

How are your eyes going Thepinkshoe?
I think Gulabary is the best eye drop.
I'd ask a chemist. Some are better for long term use than others.
My optomotrist recommended Systane for my dry eyes. My Doc also recommended Systane without me mentioning that this was what my optomotrist had recommended. Eye drops like Visine, Clear eyes etc etc are only good for short term. Use them regularly & they will make your eyes red. Systane you can use anytime you get sore dry eyes with no bad side effects. They are cheaper than visine as well
Can i use this Systane if my eyes strains from computer use? do you think a lamp would help when ever im infront of my PC? im suspecting my light is not enough..
I suffer from dry eye and red itchy eyes from hayfever and my chemist recommended: VISINE eye drops- allergy with antihistamine. Clears and Relieves Itchy, Red Allergy eyes.
It works really well and was only 6 dollars.
There are other products in the range too.
You are right and I believe the new systane ultra is good for 6 months after opening if I'm not wrong.
Steer clear of decongesting eye drops, as like decongestant nasal sprays etc they should only be used for a few days as they can cause rebound congestion (redness). Eye drops are good only for a month once opened except for the systane ultra I believe which is 6 months. you could also use the individual vials that come in a lot of eye drop brands that are preservative free and great for sensitive eyes. The convenience in that option is I guess they are small and very portable and disposable after single use.
