Fillers and Botox!!!
Fillers and Botox!!!
"don't do it" I hear, "you'll end up with a plastic face" is cried. Yes I know you see some weird and downright disasterous attempts at finding the fountain of youth. I mean Joan Rivers does kinda look like an accident in a Barbie factory but heck she's 70 odd right! I'm thinking a little something to eliminate the number 11 inbetween my thinning brows, and something more to eradicate the railway tracks across my forhead. I've tried all the magic creams and gels, mistakenly rubbing them on the afflicted area when I obviously should have ingested them. So this is next....right? Now the research begins, what do I need? how much does it cost? where do I go? The gods of google have directed me to a site from where I can purchase my own injectables if I "promise" that I'm a medical professional (scoff), thankfully good sence is still holding and the thought of ending up with a face like smashed crab has prevented me from plunging head first into that one. Any advice from my beautiful sisters would be greatly appreciated :)

Great for thorough cleaning
I never purchased it but I got a sample size to try and a small dollop lasted me a few uses and I always dilute my shampoos and I did the same with this and it completely dissolved in water and I u
A great and affordable foundation
This foundation is my go to affordable foundation, as someone who naturally is quite pale with the foundation I've been able to find a shade that is perfect.
Looks nice
Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara is a cool mascara. Its easy to apply and it doesn't smudge or leave clumping on the lashes. It is creamy and the brush is nice to use.

Hi Tana, my work collegue was so insecure about the lines between her brows that just foour weeks ago she went to see a cosmetic lady here in town who injected a filler into them to fill in the lines and i swear she looks ten years younger. I would personally get it done by someone who has the 'experience' in the field and just do the areas that you feel that really need a slight change like some deep lines etc.
It cost her somewhere around $700 and she will need to go back in six months or so, look up some beauty centres and ask if they have someone that does fillers, botox etc or else google some up in your area.
Goodluck hun x
Tana I totally get what you mean! I an not fussed about the lines around my eyes, but the line between my brows, and on my forehead I have seriously considered and still am considering botox. They are deep wrinkles and i really can't see anything else removing them!
We have nurses come to work once a month and one of them works for a cosmetic surgeon full time. She is only young about 25 and has had botox as a preventative. She said her surgeon is quite expensive, but there is a doctor in Brighton who is reasonably priced and she has seen the job this Dr does and is very impressed. I think she said it would cost about $200 - $300 to do the areas i want done. Said to expect headaches for the first week or so as i try to move facial muscles and cant, but they do disappear as I get used to the changes. She gave me this Dr's name about a year ago and I am yet to make an appointment LOL
Not sure what is holding me back, maybe my partner not being overly keen on the idea, he thinks I am making my wrinkles out to be worse than they are! My Mum is very against it, cause she says so many people have problems after these things! I ask her what type of problems and who are all these multitudes of people who have problems.... she can't answer cause they are people she has read about in magazines and newspapers LOL
If you do get it done I would love to hear about your experience and results!!
I will check with the google gods again and see what I come up with, my general area doesn't cater well for the vain and wrinkly ;) but If i'm spending mega bucks a tank of fuel is small potatoes. Thank you for your input, I was feeling all alone :)
Oonga my dear I believe we are two sides of the same coin, we have so much in common :) I'm determined to get it done, i've procrastinated a long time. I think the cost is whats stopping me more than anything and the guilt of wasting such a huge amount of money on myself. I have a friend who works with a lot of cosmetic surgeons but she refuses to hook me up! She was very helpful when I had my boobs done, (everyone feels sorry for the flat chested girl) but thinks I'm being silly about this one, to quote "your funny lookin, deal with it!". Yeah she's one of those friends. When it happens I will put up some before and after pics. (i'm not shy ;)
Well my lovely ladies! I was in the big city today and while there I popped into a dermal doc who specialises in ruining wrinkles. A brief look at the price list had me hyperventilating well before my (free) consultaion. The nurse had a good look and suggested Fraxel laser treatment, this would be a double acting treatment zapping my melasma (the bane of my existance) and plumping my lines and wrinkles. Another pro is it treats the whole face for the price of just an area or two with the injectables. "Yayayayayay where do I sign" oh thats right the price! $1000 AU will get me one full face laser zapping, but to completely disperse my melasma I would be looking at four maybe five treatments :( Well nothing in life is free, well none of the stuff I like anyway ;) So it's a saving I will go. I'm hoping to book the first round in around four weeks, (the amount of time it takes to squirrel away a grand?) after that I may have to sell a kidney. I do have two!
WOW that sounds pretty fantastic!!! Except for the price!! LOL
How long do those results last for?
As for your kidney, you can easily do with the one ;) LOL
Can't wait to hear more about your experience!!
I am feeling the same and at my age i would really love to get some of my deep lines done. I would really love to get either fillers or botox. I only wish i had the money to get it done. And at my age I really hate the lines around my lip and eye areas. I wish they just werent as expensive as they are. As i know that my confidence would really be boosted if i could have these deeper lines taken care of. Would be great to get a trial done so we could really see the before and afters of this process. I saw on TV some younger girls in their teens 18 and 19 getting botox of the foreheads. And i really think getting it done so young is really abit silly, as they havent aged yet. When there are woman my age who would love to get rid of their deep lines.
I haven't had Botox but have gotten juvaderm in my top lip. Looks great and super natural, just be weary for your first time, you will have swelling and maybe some bruising. I wasn't prepared for this and woke up the next morning, looked in the mirror and cried for hours because I thought I would look like a duck forever haha! After two days it all settled down though!
I wanted to reboot this thread cos I need info on Botox! Seriously considering it for my horrible forehead. Anyone done it recently? Cost? Discomfort factor? Happy with results?
i hate my 11 lines, but trying to do facial exercises, not tensing the muscles there and perhaps will try some skincare than can relax the muscles containing "SNAP", a botox equivalent before i go down that path.
have tried botox for a dfferent area (not face) and it doesn't last and it is expensive.
Can anyone recommend a highly trustworthy and friendly place to get lip injections done in Sydney? I am from the Blue Mountains but willing to travel.
Can I also add to this???? Has anybody had a non surgical nose job? Or know anybody who has had it done?? Or has anybody tried a product called Nasofix? Thanks!
Just be careful with Botox and other means to fill up these wrinkles. They can really have a negative effect on your body and face. More on http://kapsalonjasmijn.nl/ for an interesting read.

I have been having Botox for a number of years now. I go for smaller doses and then have a touch up of required. I have always been very happy with my practitioner but I do believe you need to do your homework for this and any other procedures you are curious about.
Many places will give you a consultation and quote before encouraging you to go home and have a good think before making an appointment.
Im starting to think I need these. Not only do I have furrows in my brow.. but I've started showing the old smoking lines around the mouth (ex smoker). just not sure if they would work for that.
