Hi guys, I really want to get a facial in Sydney but have never been before. Any suggestions for inexpensive but quality salons/spas would really be appreciated!!
Hi sheena1: I can't recommend any specific salon. I use the Groupon & ourdeal websites every now & then. I've had regular facials, microdermabrasion, facial/massage combos at various salons in & around the city & suburbs. I think the most I've ever paid was $49 but that was for a 90 minute or 2 hour appointment. If you're not a member of either of these sites, just sign up! They sometimes offer free credit for new members. At any one time, there are always multiple offers at different salons.
A basic facial (45 mins including deep cleanse, steam, massage and masque) will set you back $25 at my college.

I've been going to the facial room in Waterloo for the last 3months. Not only are their facials really relaxing, the therapists there really tailor the experience to your skins needs.
they never pressure you to purchase products, but do recommend and help incorporate their intensive products into your daily regime.
I don't think they are over priced - at $130 I think it's really worth it.
Has anyone ever tried the ones on voucher websites like Groupon or Scoopon? I'd be keen to hear people's thoughts...
Yes, I have! Scroll to the top of this page!
I have the opposite experience re: groupons. I have tried twice I think. Can't say I like either. I found the salon quality was below par (beds were partitioned by curtains instead of individual treatment rooms) and I just don't feel those places are very hygienic. So these days I don't bother with groupons. I stick to the ones that I like - I highly recommend The Beauty Room in Mosman, or SpaQ in Sydney CBD.
I highly recommend the salon at the Star in Pyrmont. Super fantastic staff.
That Organic Salon in the Dymocks building is good
Good to know!! I have heard of this place but couldn't find any reviews.
It's not cheap but Endota spa does a lovely facial with organic products. I'm tempted to try the other options listed above- had no idea that there was one in the Star.
I have a very mixed experience with Endota. Sometimes good, sometimes so bad that I actually had to complain to the manager.
Glenrose Beauty Gallery on the Northern Beaches is amazing. They have so many different types of facials and also offer omnilux. I feel like if you're looking for an inexpensive treatment you're going to get something pretty basic. I find the girls here really know what they're doing and the money is worth it. An hour's microdermabrasion is only $125 and includes a pre micro exfoliating aha mask and they do extractions etc .
The QT has amazing facial options :D
I have used the original proactiv products in the past with great success but never gave the proactiv+ products much thought because they had tried to phase out benzoyl peroxide and replaced it wit
Nivea Caring Micellar Cleansing Wipes 3-in-1 are cleansing wipes are nice and gentle for the skin. They remove make-up well without having to rinse the skin.
Palmolive body butter heavenly vanilla is a body wash that leaves my skin feeling soft smooth and has a nice fragrance. The container is easy to store in the shower.
