What beauty habit bugs your partner?
What beauty habit bugs your partner?
Hey beauties,
I'm currently in a stand-off with my man about wearing fake tan to bed. He hates the smell but I refuse to give in! Especially as we're in the middle of winter and I'm as white as a ghost.
So I was wondering, what beauty habit or part of your beauty ritual does your partner hate?

I was excited to be chosen to review these tablets and pleased that Natures Way provided enough for me to trial for a couple of months so I could truly ascertain if they were going to be beneficial
Glowy and beautiful!
A great and affordable sunscreen which has a glowy colour in it.
Such a beautiful foundation
This foundation is the best of the best. I dragged my feet in getting to try it because sometimes products aren't always as great as people rave that they are. This product genuinely is.

I dont blame you for not giving in Sam, fake tan is non negotiable lol! My hubby hates it when I come in from work and take all my makeup off, I guess im not a natural beauty haha!
My husband is exactly the same Sam. Even if I just mix a small amount of fake tan with my facial moisturiser, he can smell it! If you find one your husband can't detect - let me know!
Face masks!
My partner hates the smell of nail polish and nail polish remover, hates it when I paint my nails. He doesn't mind the Manicare Coconut scented polish remover pads, I've just discovered them.
My hubby is used to seeing me cleanse, tone, moisturise and the occasional mask... I don't use the sheet masks as it freaks out my son! I use that at night when he is tucked safely in bed..
The only thing he comments on is, why I need the 100 plus lip products I own ;) haha... I don't think he understands why there so many shades of pink, nudes and reds that a girl needs :P
My husband is usually a good sport about my beauty habits. Sometimes I can even get him to try a cleanser or face mask that I think is really outstanding. The only thing that kind of bothers him is when I'm shaping my nails. It can be a bit time consuming and I usually do it in the evening when we're watching TV - so the light is on and I'm "missing all the good stuff" because I'm focusing on my nails instead of the TV. Priorities, right? ;)
The boy hates when I try to test my lip plumpers on him hahaha.
He also doesn't understand the amount of nail polishes I have and why I need so many of the "same colour" ...
My husband doesn't understand why I need more than one lot of shampoo/conditioner in the shower at any one given time. I like to rotate these things!
My hubby sounds a bit like your hubby Claire. He can't understand why I need more than one of any product & he certainly can't comprehend how there's more than one shade of a certain colour lol.
LOL!! That made me giggle :) your BF sounds very accomadating...haha I am imagining him with a "trout pout"
I know that my husband doesn't understand my love for shoes. Its just that sometimes I have bought shoes on sale which fit me well in the store but when I get home, they're too small, so they sit in the back of my closet. He's's a bit puzzled by this.
But with beauty, he doesn't like my regular hair straightening because it's not good for the hair...which I agree with, but I still do it.
He's pretty okay with all the craziness I do, actually its more like he's accepted it because he doesn't have any choice and he's given up. So mission accomplished for me :)
My boyfriend is actually quite good when it comes to my beauty habits - infact recently he has been asking lots of questions, such as what order to put products on and why haha.
But he hates when I put on moisturiser, serums, oils, lip balms and go in for a kiss or cuddle. He doesn't mind me using them, but doesn't want me touching him until it's no longer sticky haha!
Me just then to my boyfriend..
'Is there anything I do you don't like? Like when I ask if I can pluck your eyebrows etc??' 'Nope... Im just such a good guy'
Well that was boring haha
No partner, but my dad is just as curious/annoyed:
This all happens when I'm applying makeup in the car as he drives me to the train station: - "Why are you buying eyeliners for $10 when colouring pencils are so much cheaper?" - "Why are there so many lipstick colours? Just pick one and stick with it" - "What is that crap (foundation, CC cream) you're smearing onto your face? Why you do it for when you have to wash it off at the end of the day?" - "Woah there, what is that torture weapon and why are you holding it so close to your eyes? (eyelash curler)"
Yeah, he was raised with 6 siblings, all were his brothers. And my mum doesn't wear much makeup so he is very confused, I am slowly teaching him things though.
My hubby can smell nail polish a mile away. Maybe he needs to move further lol.
He can't understand why I have to use so many creams before I put on foundation or why it takes so long to take all the make-up off. He goes, just use soap like I do and it's gone.
Haha.... My hubby won't let me go near him wielding my tweezers!
My, just one hair ... Turns into a whole bunch :) he's a wuss when it comes to pain!
Hahaha! This just made me laugh! My hubby is the same always questioning why I have to many beauty/body products! LOL
My hubby loves telling me that all the creams, moisturisers, exfoliators and everything else I put on my face all works the same and loves pointing out that he saw it on Checkout! -"Just use one stuff on your face as it won't change anything!" -"You don't need to paint your nails as your hands are too small and only ladies with long fingers look nice with nail polish on their long nails!" -" Please don't kiss me wih your bright pink lipstick as I have to go to shops and I can't seem to get it off! Why do you buy lipsticks that can't be removed anyway???"
I like to put my make-up on with nobody else in the room so I can 'concentrate' (trust me, after having three kids, it's really lovely to not to be interrupted while I do something special and creative like put my make-up on. I'm at the point where I like my solitude so much while putting it on that I even tell my hubby to leave so I can have some 'space'. He doesn't really like it when I tell him to leave the room so I can put my make-up on!
I just asked hubby. He is 'thinking about it'. He reckons it sounds like a trick question, and isn't sure he wants to answer!
He does whinge about nail polish and nail polish remover though.
Hahaha tell him pain is beauty Claire :P I wouldn't actually like to pluck my bf's eyebrows, I think I just like seeing his reaction when I very seriously ask him silly things like if I can do that or wax his legs.. lol. My partner actually used to have shoulder length hair and the amount of times my friends asked me if I had ever straightened/braided/tied up his hair was ridiculous haha
hahaha! I actually love making my hubby wear my headbands and putting ribbons and clips on his hair! He has thick straight hair that grows quickly and right now he has a long fringe and almost shoulder length. His hair is so thick and shiny that he tells me back when he was in school, girls are actually jealous of his hair. He always complain that his hair always gets in the way so to stop him from complaining I'll put ribbons on top of his head and take pictures of him. He'll always ask me to delete the pictures afterwards but I say I have to keep it for bribing purposes! I tell him I'll post the pics on Facebook every time he refuse to do something I lovingly ask him to do! :)
My husband can't stand the smell of nail polish either - he always complains that it gives him a headache. Even if I do it when he's not home, he will still smell it :)
Claire I do my partner's eyebrows and he hates it! Although they do need to be tidied up about once a month-it doesn't hurt though-they are such babies!
My partner just laughs when we go to bed and he hops straight in but I've got to wash my face and then apply all my lotions :P
I think its the time it takes to do the whole beauty routine before going out that annoys mine.
