Do guys have naturally better skin?
How come guys can do absolutely nothing to their skin and it can be really flawless? Some of my male friends have never applied anything their their face ever and use soap on their face even! And yet they've always had flawless skin, even through their teenage years. It seems interesting that us ladies spend so much on skincare and hardly anyone can boast perfectly flawless skin all the time. Why does this happen? Are we making our skin worse by putting so many products on it?

Great addition to skincare routine
I highly enjoyed being able to add this to my daily skincare routine, one extra step, but worth it!
After the first use, my skin felt hydrated.
Avoid for oily skin great for dry skin
My skin feels well moisturised after a dry day, but can feel a little sticky if it is been too humid or if I am a bit oily that day.

Many women claim of allergy and dryness on their face.I just want to mention a easy way that women forget to wash their faces properly before going to bed.Use a best cleanser to face your face before going to bed.It will wash all the subsatnces and chemical elements which u did apply on your face.

We wear makeup and they don't. Makeup seriously clogs and it contains loads of chemicals too. Definately a good idea to get rid of makeup before bed. Except as they get older we'll have better skin because we wear SPF and they don't. They'll have more wrinkles!!
I so know what you mean!! One of my friends has the most flawless, baby-like skin in the world and he's never done anything to his skin! It's so unfair lol.
Male skin is typically oilier than female skin. "Dry" male skin would be about equivalent to "normal" female skin, "normal" male would be equivalent to "oily" female skin, and "oily" male skin would be "extra oily" compared to female skin. It's mostly a function of hormones.
Unfortunately, those of us with combination oily skin with a super oily t-zone end up with far worse enlarged pores than almost any female ever does, so it's not all good news for guys.
Just think how bad it is for guys who wear makeup!
men are more prone to acne than women because of their testosterone though thats mostly in the teen years then i think their hormones settle down whilst our are constantly cycling until we are 45+ so that really plays havock on our skin
I think the majority seem to have better skin. I have quite delicate looking, translucent skin whereas most men/boys seem to have much more robust, even skin. I think once we get past a certain age though it's likely we will look better.
Men who shave regularly have smoother skin because it's a form of exfoliation. Elizabeth Taylor was rumored to have her facial skin shaved regularly because of that, and also because makeup applies better without the peach fuzz.
I always thaught this too. Not fair! hehehehe Maybe in there younger years yes, but years without sun protection and moisturising wont do much good in there later years
i notice this too ! i thought it had something to do with hormones maybe.
but even when my bf comes straight out of the shower he looks model perfect. his skin isnt even dry from hot water or anything. i always wonder how some guys can have smooth soft skin all the time.
xoxo
MMMMmmm I always wear makeup but my skin is better these days atm ...but still im addicted to putting on makeup!
That is so true. I so envy men and boys. Damn.
they dont know how lucky they have it! my boyfriend always has perfect skin and hair..damn him! i think its got a lot to do with not using makeup etc. In saying that though I would never wanna trade, makeup is too much fun :)
I agree that I think part of it is makeup, they have some seriously bad stuff in there. I put so much crap on my face when I was a teenager, no wonder I had so many pimples. Most of it went away once I removed my makeup before bed and washed my face every day. I agree about guys getting wrinkles sooner though. Guys seem to start getting wrinkles in their mid to late 20s but we don't seem to get any until our 30s. Or maybe i'm just seeing things :P But guys seem to hate wearing sunscreen so I think that is the cause.
I also agree it has a lot to do with makeup! Some men are very lucky especially when you think how much money us females spend on our beauty products.
Yes it can be there after all skin is genetic. If they have such kind of skin obviously either their mom or dad have such kind of skin.
I know some guys have better skin, but I'm pretty blessed - I have normal skin and I get like 2 pimples a year. My brother (25) has acne. Luck of the draw!
Men look great up until a point where they age really quickly. Women on the other hand aging is a slower more gradual process. Not to mention shaving is basically exfoliating the skin every day which is a great way to have awesome skin - if your skin can handle it...
it's not really true. some guys have good skin, sure but like us, but some get really bad acne, or blackheads, or even shaving rash that never seems to go away.
women do wear makeup though so that would contribute, and if you're like me, hormones wreaking havoc on my skin before that time of the month :(
I don't really think so! Some guys have nice skin, but some have pimples and all that annoying stuff like me! It's like some girls have naturally nice skin :D It's pretty much equal!
That's right! I second that. For guys who are prone to breakouts more easily, the rate of their recovery will take much longer compare to ladies as the skin is much thicker per se. So its like, for the wound to heal, it will require more attention the time to allow let it heal without feeling the urge to irritate it as . guys are prone to do more rigid activities on a daily basis.
I completely agree that application of makeup since very young age takes its toll on the skin. Its better to enhance the beauty by thinking good thoughts, eating right and working out. Apply light makeup and that too when it is very necessary.
Men have thicker facial skin due to the fact that they grow thick facial hair and women do not. The thicker the skin, the longer it takes for the wrinkles to show. My brothers had terrible acne all through puberty and still get plenty of zits now that they are in their mid-20's. I did not get any almost ever. So, I think that has to be hormonal and hygiene. They rarely paid special attention to their skin and don't protect it.
I've been looking at my bf's skin lately and notice mine is much better than his! He is 3 months younger than me but has so much sun damage, he's got freckles everywhere on his face, under his eyes are all saggy and he has way more wrinkles on his forehead.
I wear 30+ everyday, he doesn't! Makes a difference.
My bf has much better skin on his face than me! He said he never really got pimples or acne when he was younger. However he does get a lot of pimples on his back now-although I would put this down to him playing a lot of sport and not properly exfoliating-ever!
