Definitely feels effective
This product is based on plant stem cells! Such a great concept. Andalou is an American company, cruelty free and vegan, so good! Packaging is simole. And clean looking.
Delicious smell

Try IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Very creamy but full coverage.
I second IT Cosmetics CC cream, really nice and more like a foundation than a CC cream.
Too Faced Born This Way, the only hydrating foundation I love as it stays put, you don’t need powder if you are really dry. The matching concealer is also perfection.
I really wanted to try the IT Cosmetics CC as mentioned above but sadly couldn’t find a good shade match which is important for full coverage foundations but I’ve since heard they have new shades so I’ll wait until I’m in store to swatch (unfortunately for me in regional area it’s not often I get to store).
Edit to add have you thought of a new face primer? The right primer can allow you to wear almost any foundation. Think that would help more than a new foundation as if you have a rough or textured canvas pretty much any foundation will grab, just a thought :)
Wow, it is good idea
STILA Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer. I was using NYX long-wear and it just sat on my face in patches and looked awful and I tried my sister's STILA foundation and og my god it is amazing. I can't recommend it enough (it is on the pricey side but worth it)
I find applying a good moisturiser on my face helps my dry skin ( dry or mature skin ) and stay away from oil free products and skincare .
I highly rate the INIKA liquid foundation for this - just make sure you've used a good moisturiser first :) https://naturalsupplyco.com/products/inika-certified-organic-liquid-foundation
The Tarte full coverage Amazonian Clay Foundation with SPF 15 is great. I have dry skin and it keeps my skin feeling comfortable and looking good all day.
I have dry and mature skin, and I prefer medium to full coverage foundations because I have broken capillaries on my cheeks. My favourite foundation in recent years has been Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup because it provides great coverage and it does not quickly sink into the larger pores and accentuate them. Because my skin is dry, I prefer not to use powder over foundation, and I do not need to use powder to set the Double Wear. I apply the foundation with a blending sponge (a sponge helps to minimise any cakiness).
I've been testing some new foundations in recent months, but I'm not ready to recommend any of these just yet.
sophiemary23, you may also need to exfoliate your face if this is something that you don't normally do. You may also need a more nourishing moisturiser. I also recommend that you try using a blending sponge to apply foundation.

Check out Designer Brands Hydrating foundation & perhaps their skin quencher primer. Note I use the illuminating primer personally. If my skin is on the dry side, this is the foundation I reach for. I think the brand is an often over looked brand but is actually quite good and Australian.
As a side note, I'm a huge fan of Rose Hip Oil or any face oil/serum really. I've been using an Antipodes one lately, which I love. It's called Joyous and is meant for night use but I use it of a day for an added moisture hit. I slather my face with it of a morning and give it time to sink in before I moisturise, prime etc
