I am unable to find an AWESOME primer that does the trick! What is your favourite primer and which would you recommend?
I love the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. It's about $42 (I think), so it's a bit pricey. I know that the L'Oréal Magique Primer is supposed to be really good as well, and that's about $29. Then I have found that the Essence primer is pretty good as well (although not as good as the ones I listed before), and it costs around $6 from memory. Hope that helps! :)
My favourite primer of all time is Benefit The Porefessional. Best.Primer.Ever.
Then I also like the L'Oreal Magique Primer, it's very good too.
I'd def agree with the Loreal primer, but recently I bought the el cheapo Lacura primer from Aldi and was shocked how good it was for me, but I have 40s dry to normal skin so maybe too rich for oily skin. For the cost I was most surprised!
Garnier Perfect Blur is good and also reasonably priced.
Napolean Perdis Auto-Pilot primer is a good primer to give the face a bit of moisture as it is quite creamy, otherwise W7 (which you can find at any chemist warehouse) has a really great primer that really fills in the pores and creates a good base for the foundation, its a thicker formula and feels a bit like silicon based so it holds the makeup on all day.
I like a very affordable one from Face of Australia, it's the one in the purple tube & retails for under $10. Gets fabulous reviews on here too, and is in Priceline, Kmart & other similar retailers
the type of primer you buy depends on what your looking to do. For everyday I use The Original Primer from Australis which is quite affordable, but for weekend wear or special occasions, the Smashbox Primers are amazing. I use the original one, but they have quite a variety for example redness.
Thanks for advise ladies. I never use primer but definitely going to look out for some of these and give them ago.
I love Porefessional by Benefit! it is literally amazinggggg!!!!
The Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer is brilliant! At the other end of the price scale, the W7 primer is also pretty darn good.
Dermalogica Age Smart SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 is amazing. It is super expensive, and I've only used a free sample, and I basically put it on just to use up this sachet I'd been given, then in the afternoon I saw myself in the mirror and thought "Why is my makeup so on fleek today?".
Don't know if I'll actually part with the cash to buy a full size yet, but it makes my drug store foundation look like it's the best you can get!
i love the nyx pore filler, i have been using it for ages and its super effective. Its also a dupe for porefessional.
Colorescience Even Up , best primer I have ever used and it's SPF50.
There is a lot of days when I just wear that and no make up at all.
Best primer I have used was from Bare Minerals.
A small amount goes a long way!
Best primer I have used is Hourglass. You only need a very tiny amount, makeup application is flawless and smoother and makeup would last a lot longer.
You beauty- the hourglass primer is my favourite too plus it contains spf 15 of a physical component so mixes my foundation to my sunscreen perfectly. Its just so expensive!!
I've just recently swapped primers (for cost reasons). I'm using Elf mineral infused primer from Adore Beauty. I know this is also sold at Kmart. So far, this is working and it hasn't irritate my skin.
I've never used a primer myself. I've always just moisturised my face before applying makeup, but i would love to know a really great brand also to try that keeps the makeup in one spot etc.
I love the L'Oreal Infallible Luminzing Primer. It adds glow and dimension to the face while keeping it hydrated! It looks stunning under matte foundation and you can also use it to strobe. Perfect for mature skin as it isn't cakey or drying yet still reflects light to reduce the appearance of any wrinkles
Elucent Anti Ageing Gentle Cleanser is packaged in a 140g sturdy plastic bottle with a pump top dispenser for easy dispensing and comes with a protective lid.
This was another excellent quality brush from Nude by Nature, this time the finishing brush.
This was a great quality mineral brush from Nude by Nature. It is nice to hold in the hand and makes it really easy to apply mineral powder foundation out of the pot.
