SPLIT ENDS
SPLIT ENDS
Heyaaaa It's been the longest time since I posted a topic in a forum!! How is everyone? I RARELY get my hair cut. Maybe like once or twice a year to be honest. I have split ends all the time - I realise getting them cut off is what I need to do BUT even like 2 days after a hair cut, I have more split ends. What do you do to maintain your split ends? And should I have so many straight after a hair cut?

Great kit for beginners
I have used the original proactiv products in the past with great success but never gave the proactiv+ products much thought because they had tried to phase out benzoyl peroxide and replaced it wit

No matter what I do to my hair I have split ends.
No matter how nicely I've treated it I always get them. I don't have any more now that I've bleached my hair than I did beforehand. Olaplex and other treatments don't work for me. My hair does'nt look that bad, it's not 'ratty' , I probably notice them far more than other people do. I think some people are just more prone to them, my hair is very porous, I get mid-shaft splits as well. . I cut them as I see them. I know people on long hair forums and it's actually quite a common way many people deal with them. (very tedious and boring) just get a good pair of hairdressing scissors and sit in front a computer screen or light source and go through your hair and cut them one at a time.
Maybe you could try using Deep Conditioning Treatments, there are many Treatments out there for Split Ends. Including hair masks as well.
Avoid any products with sulfates or parabens, which can dry hair, irritate the scalp and fade colour.
You can get ghd Advanced Split End Therapy from Price Attack.
Make sure that you are using products to stop heat damage when using, hairdryers, Straighteners. Use wide toothed comb and don't over brush your hair.
Hope that helps you and I am sure other people on BH will recommend other products.
I cut split ends when I see them. I am the same as you I get a lot of regular split ends especially when my hair is feeling dry, they are a lot more frequent. Way overdue a good haircut..I have heard the Olaplex treatment is fantastic for repairing broken hair, I have been umming and ahhing over getting a bottle for ages..a lot of people swear by it and reckon it's awesome for repairing damaged hair. Maybe give it a try?? If you do get a bottle please do update and let me know your thoughts on it, if it does work =)
Are you talking SPLIT split ends, or just ends poking out at all lengths? I know my sister refers to the latter as split ends, but they're not! At any one time, you've got individual hairs at all lengths, due to the constant shedding & regrowth of new hairs. Are you sure it's not just these ends that are sticking out?
I know I should trim my hair more often. My ends are looking pretty rough, but my hair is at the longest it's been in years, so I don't want to touch it. It's past my waist!
So lovely to "see you," Peace.Love.Empathy. Nothing to add to your discussion, just popping by to say you're missed and hope all is well in your world. Hugs, Hun.
Thanks lovely!! Nice to "see" you too.
You're too kind saying that I am missed haha x
I have a hip-length almost tailbone length hair.
With split ends, I rarely get them these days. I used to but since I changed some hair products, I think I am starting to get a hang on this.
Try to avoid shampoo and conditioner with sulfates.
If you wanna get rid off the split ends but you don't want a big chop, you may ask your hairdresser for "dusting"
Hope this helps! xx
I am also facing this issue and really I get tired to split end and they grow again.
There’s a trial happening at the moment for a ‘no haircut’ cream - it’s meant to protect your hair so that you don’t have to cut it.

Like Lisa & Amazeballs I cut my split ends when I see them. I hate when I find one and don’t have any scissors nearby lol.
Hope you find something to help with your hair!
tinakapoor02's post is spam which I've reported on the "Serial SPAM member on BH" thread.
Not a hair cut but a bit of trimming your hair often can save you from split ends. But if still, it doesn't stop then only a good doctor can help you out.
Thanks for all of your advice ladies. I think I will just try and keep my hair hydrated x
You should use hair care products with argan oil on it and don't rub a towel over your wet hair.
Same here, nothing stops split ends for me. I never used to have any, then I went blond and ever since (no matter how long ago it was) I have been getting split ends regardless of what I do.
I cut them when I see them, as well. And I trim my own ends every 2-3 months.
Oh man split ends are the (beauty) bane of my existence! I just trim the split ends when I see them and get my hair trimmed every few months.
The best way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off. Regular trimming is also required. apart from it oil your hairs before washing them.
