Daylight Savings Reminder!
Daylight Savings Reminder!
EDITED
If you're in NSW, Victoria, Tassie, SA or ACT, get ready to put clocks FORWARD an hour on Saturday night/Sunday morning! At 2am, wind the clock FORWARD to 3am 4 October 2020, or do it before you go to bed Saturday night,
As I always say, it takes me six months to get over this!
For non-Sydneysiders, this is the gorgeous water clock at Hornsby.

The perfect!
I have just tried the Watermelon color from essie and my nails looks stunning! I love the vibrant color and received lots of compliments for.

Thank you MIsfortune , just found out. Very interesting display :)
That water clock/fountain at Hornsby is brilliant. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, it still amazes me. Thanks, misfortune8 for the great photo and the reminder - HATE daylight saving and it takes me some time to adjust whichever way it goes!
Thank you missy8!
Groan Daylight savings. Cate just doesn't understand the time change and is refusing to have her 11am nap. She has pushed her clock back to 3pm for a nap (for 2 hours), and then bedtime at 8:30pm. Far too late for my liking.
I think she's having far too much fun playing with Mum during the day!
That is a beautiful clock/water fountain at Hornsby, Mis8!
I'm always the last to hear when it's time to change the clock. I haven't been caught out yet, my mother usually phones me the night before. I've looked up when it starts again & I've diarised a reminder email. I'll bump this thread a few days prior to the weekend we set our clocks forward in October.
I LOVE setting my clock back in Autumn, I'm a night owl, as most of my posts attest to. It takes me six months to get used to setting my clock forward though. That's just not funny!
BUMP!
It's coming up this weekend folks! :-(
Daylight Savings sucks. The End
Really? I'm tired enough everyday because I am recovering from a cold, I don't need daylight savings to make me feel even more tired!
aw no, that's come around too quick. All my friends are interstate and hard to catch up with them. When they are ready to skype I am busy cooking dinner and when I am ready to chat, they are busy going to bed.
If Daylight saving is with most other states then us at Qld, should have it, especially Brisbane. I know further up in Qld don't want it but we need it further down.
I agree Jatz, it's so confusing with the daylight savings discrepancy between eastern states! I'm on the Gold Coast and being so close to the border I hear a lot of people complain because they work one side or the other and it messes with school drop off/pickup times etc.
I just get confused about when my tv shows are on lol.
I just thought, when Foxtel advertise a show it's not that time for us so will have to remember that.
I know it's real strange down there so close to the border. One minny your in Qld and walk across the road and it's NSW. We love it down there and always looking at real estate down there. Would love to move down there or win one of those Life Saving units/houses. Can only try, dream and hope plus cross fingers :-)
Thanks misfortunat8. I would have missed it as I've seen no reminders in the media, and where I live, it hardly seems like Spring weather!
I actually love daylight savings, but it just doesn't seem warm enough to enjoy it yet this year.
Oh thank you for the reminder! I would've completely forgotten...
Thank you Misfortune , I miss it every year lol ! :)
Love the extra daylight but seeing as kids have been on holidays for past 2 weeks sleeping in Monday is going to be tough!! I wish it were a week earlier just to adjust over holidays but do we really adjust? Bring on late night walks :)
Yes, that is always tricky. It works better where I am, as school holidays start next week.
So, I forgot to do this and am now uncertain of the time :))
You don't have to move your clocks forward until tomorrow morning at 2am :)
Ok I'm having a whinge plus I'm totally jealous of people not in QLD because according to 9news.com.au you all get an extra hour of sunshine, why can't I get an extra hour of sunshine???
That journalist needs to be fired, I actually used their contact us option to complain as it was just so idiotic.
Am I the only one who loves daylight savings (when it goes forward, like tomorrow)? Haha. I mark it in my phones calendar months in advance. :P
[groan] saltine: are you stuck in a parallel universe? do you live in Opposite world? I'm the exact opposite. I'm sick of it already!
I actually like Daylight Savings but I just wish Qld would get it. I loved it when I lived in Sydney.
Would be good in the morning because the dog wouldn't bark so early for her breakfast :-)
I don't like what this change in time does to my head! Regardless of whether its now or in autumn.
I just don't understand why we can't stick to one time or another? Why does it have to change?? I mean people talk about how its dark in winter when they leave for work dark when they get home, so why not leave it as it is now and then won't it be a little lighter in winter when people leave for work?
Just pick a time and stick with it!
Bump!
This weekend is the end of daylight savings! Don't forget to turn your clocks BACK on Saturday night, 2nd April.
We get to sleep in!
I love this - thanks, misfortune8. For possibly the first time ever I knew about it this year. SOOOOOOO glad when it's "proper time" again!
