Rainy day rituals

I’m sorry, but did I somehow miss the memo informing us we were suddenly switching to dreary winter weather? Call me crazy but I’m pretty sure last time I checked February in the southern hemisphere was supposed to be summer.
So I’m not exactly mentally prepared for this relentless, annoyingly half-on, half-off rain (which is proving to be an extreme inconvenience to me and all my fun outdoorsy plans).
Unfortunately beauties it looks like it’s here to stay for a while, so rather than succumb to the boredom and restlessness of cabin fever, take advantage of the time indoors and catch up on some pamper sessions you’ve no doubt been promising yourself but have never got around to (if you’re anything like me that is!).
Show your feet some long-overdue love by bathing them in a pedi-spa or bowl filled with warm water and a calming soak such as Montagne Jeunesse Soothing Foot Soak/Lotion. Once your feet are feeling well rested, massage them with a foot scrub such as CND Creative Spa a.h.a Sea Scrub before removing them from the water and patting them dry. For ultra-soft skin slather on a rich foot cream like Feet by OPI Double Coverage and pop your tootsies into some cotton socks while the nutrients penetrate.
Treat your complexion to a DIY deep cleanse by removing all your make-up and massaging your skin with a gentle exfoliant. We like QV Face Exfoliating Polish. Next, apply a pore-cleansing mask such as Aveda Deep Cleansing Herbal Clay Mask, and indulge yourself to the max by running a bath and using the time it takes for it to set to relax and unwind.
Give your hair a boost of nutrients, repair damage and increase shine – without a trip to the salon – by applying an intensive treatment such as Burt’s Bees Avocado Butter Hair Treatment to your locks. Simply wet your strands and massage one tablespoon into your scalp and hair (focusing on the mid-lengths to ends and other damaged areas) before combing through and leaving for 15 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as normal and your hair will look full, healthy and revitalised.
What pamper session are you long overdue?

I am long overdue for much pampering. I love the sound of the Burt's Bees Avocado Butter Hair Treatment. It sounds ideal for dry/damaged hair which needs extra nourishment.

I'm a bit overdue for a pedi. Being winter it's just too cold to leave my shoes off for long!

My poor feet are usually in dire need of a pedicure! Ahhh! But it's always my hair that needs the most attention, I straighten it every 2 days when I wash my hair (fluffly fine hair curls are not cute) so it gets damaged pretty quick...plus I always get too busy/broke to go to the hairdresser when I should!

I'm long overdue a haircut & could use a home treatment, a pedi and new polish colour wouldn't hurt either. A massage would be the best, never had one yet but can't wait for when i eventually do!

A massage, my neck and shoulders are so tight. It's been nearly a year since my last massage :(

I'm way overdue for a massage!!! I used to get them every 6 weeks or so but since I started my own business I haven't had time... ironic considering that I've got so much extra stress and now is when I need it the most!

Definately a great way to spend time while stuck indoors. My pamper list has been neglected and pushed aside this summer so i have a lot of catching up to do. Thanks for the friendly reminder - now where's my foot spa!

A pedicure and manicure. My hands and feet could be looking a bit better even if the nails are painted with a pretty coat of polish then they'll look a little nicer :)
