Gwyneth Paltrow: love or hate her?

If Gwyneth Paltrow earned a dollar for every time she was in the news recently…well, I’m pretty sure she’d double her income.
Let’s take a look at why the blonde actress has been gracing our headlines so much lately:
There was the interview a while back where she, perhaps inadvertently, said that brunettes were invisible (the actual quote: "I don't understand the whole idea of blondes having more fun. I'd say brunettes have more fun as they can go under the radar a little bit more. People are just waiting for blondes to get drunk and fall down, because we're so visible."), then she ‘humbly’ bragged about how her friend told her that she has the butt of a 22-year-old-stripper, and let’s not forget the whole accusations of sexualising children by featuring girls aged four to eight in bikinis on her website, Goop.
That’s all quite a bit to ruffle a few feathers. But it’s not all that’s got people talking. Gwyneth recently released a new cookbook, It’s All Good, which, while it has some great recipes, features ingredients many would class as unaffordable for a regular meal (reports suggest it could cost nearly $300 a day to feed a family based on Gwyneth’s recipes).
And then just a few days ago at the Iron Man 3 premiere, Gwyneth stepped out in a very revealing dress. With sheer panels on either side, it became clear that Gwynnie rocked up sans undies, and thus coined the term ‘side butt’. Some say brave, others say a little bit too risqué.
It seems like the blonde actress has been copping a bit of flack lately. But don’t feel sorry for her just yet, because Gwyneth has recently been crowed the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine.
So what’s the deal? Do we love Gwyneth or hate her? I honestly can’t keep track. One minute we’re vilifying her for a myriad of reasons and then the next, she’s being awarded for being beautiful, inspirational and just all-around wonderful. What do you think? Has she deserved all this grief she’s been getting from the media? Or do you think we should all give the woman a break? After all, she’s human with feelings like the rest of us.
What do you think about Gwyneth Paltrow? Do you love her or hate her?

I saw her in the movie "country strong" and loved ever since! The things mentioned in this article all seem to be blown a little out of proportion, she is definitely one of the better celebrities out there! :)

Not a fan of her, but hate is such a strong word. She sure if brave wearing dresses like that one though, I'll give her that!

She is polarizing isn't she? I don't like her, she's out of touch with normal people

I've changed my mind on her - didn't used to like her, but I do now.

I cant believe she wore that dress! I like her but she doesn't need to be like that to grab the limelight

I don't actually mind her, but I have to say I'm not a fan of the dress. It's a little bit tarty, especially for Iron Man 3. Not that it's exactly a family film, but it certainly draws a crowd of young boys and men. So, probably not the most appropriate thing to wear! But hey, each to their own, I suppose!

i can't say i'm too big a fan of her (i think it's so true what Bobbin01 said about her being unable to relate to normal people). what a shame. i am deeply in love with her husband though :P

She is one of my favourite actresses, I have seen her in quite a few movies and like her. I have always looked to her as a decent woman, with glamour and self respect who would never expose parts of her body like this! I am dissappointed in her dressing like this as it is "slutty"...this is not the Gwyneth that I have always admired. Why wear a dress like this to expose an area so high up making us think she has no underwear on.....I just dont get it. This dress was a poor choice of clothing ......she has a great figure and a lovely face she doesnt need to do things like this and I hope she does'nt do it again.

I have never been a big fan of Gwyneth Paltrow... and now apparently as a Brunette I am invisible... so I must say I am still not a big fan.

I don't agree with anyone wearing sheer panels showing 'side-butt' That is just plain garish and nasty whichever way you say it. We know you have a butt - we don't need you to prove it to us... I have liked her in the past when she was more classy... now she's starting to feel a little desperate to show everyone that she hasn't changed and it's feeling a bit wrong.

I think she is an awesome actress and looks very beautiful. However, that thing that she is wearing in that photo - can't call it a dress! - looks weird. How can she think that looks attractive? How does she sit down in that outfit without revealing everything?

I think she acts well but no matter how great a bod you are rocking that dress is a no-no! Just another way to get attention!

I mean come on, she is a big movie star. I'm not surprised anyone with her wealth and fame would act like a bit of a diva. It's not like she's famous for having a nice personality in the first place. If she's an actress in a professional sense, then she should be judged on her acting skills, full stop. I neither like nor dislike her as an actress

I don't mind her. She seems low key enough and not too into herself. She has been married since 2003 to Chris for Coldplay so they are doing something right as being in the public eye would be tough. She has a great body and it looks amazing in that dress. I think if the side panel that is see through didn't come up quite so far, it would be classier. But overall she is harmless. She is just out of tough as other comments have said, as her and her hubby live the high life and have a lot of money. Coldplay is one of the biggest bands around!

She kind of annoys me, I don't hate her but shes not my favourite. I absolutely loved Iron Man 3 mostly because of Robert Downey Jr.

I don't really have strong feelings either way. I like her acting skills, she's one of Hollywood's best, but like others I think her upbringing has left her a little out of touch with the real world in some of her views. Usually her fashion sense is great, but she definitely misses the mark with this dress!
