Blogstar entry: love and reality
It is every girl’s dream to meet a prince charming who would protect her from the evil world (read: no more work). What about men? What is a man’s dream in the perfect woman, aside from her body measurements? Some mothers say that the way to the man’s heart is through his stomach; while some say play hard to get, man likes a challenge.
Love is a funny thing: some claim it was love at first sight; some started out as rivals and then developed a strong relationship. No matter how love presents, it has to be availed or the opportunity would be lost. Sometimes gods are merciful that we are allowed a second or third chance in true love.
I was surprised that Kim Kardashian’s marriage to Kris Humphrey broke down after just 72 days of tying the knot; I was expecting the marriage between Katy Perry and Russell Brand to go first. Why is it that celebrities change spouses so many times? Is it because of them being a diva and refusing to tolerate, or because they are too busy being apart? I do not envy these celebrities who seem to be trying to find love in wrong places or trying to use love to promote themselves.
It is safe to say that everyone would keep on trying to find love: Sir Paul McCartney has said his marriage vows for to Nancy Shevell, his third wife and the late Elizabeth Taylor had seven husbands. Love is unexplainable, and once tasted we will be addicted to the bittersweet feeling that falling in love brings.
I am jealous of our Australian beauty Miranda Kerr, who seems to have it all: money, fame and a loving family. It is not luck that made Miranda successful but her hard work and diligence, love came her way and she treasured it. I believe that she is a better role model for the children in Australia, how a beautiful person like her can be still smart and humble; we should be worshipping her instead of attention seeking celebrities who feel that they would wither and die when people take no interest in their personal lives.
