What you need to know about Vaser Liposuction

When it comes to surgically removing fat, I’m sure you’ve all heard about liposuction.
But did you know there’s such a thing as vaser liposuction?
It shares a few similarities traditional liposuction, but it has a whole heap of other benefits that those considering the procedure might like to know.
Dr Lanzer, a cosmetic surgeon with over 25 years of experience, gives us the lowdown on vaser liposuction so you can figure out if it’s the right treatment for you.
WHAT IS VASER LIPOSUCTION?
Vaser is a device that is used to pre-treat the area of concern the day before suction. It’s a third generation ultrasound that liquifies the fat, making it easier to remove.
High definition vaser liposculpture works by selectively removing small deposits of fat surrounding specific muscle groups. So instead of just removing fat, this gets rid of that deep fat and helps to enhance the underlying musculature. It allows the surgeon to perfectly sculpt the body to create those contours you want. As fat is removed, muscle is defined.
The vaser liposuction procedure is carried out in the same way as traditional liposuction, and has the same recovery time, risks and general effects. The main difference is the use of that Vaser device, which maximises skin retraction following the procedure.
WHO IS THE VASER LIPOSCULPTURE PROCEDURE IDEAL FOR?
It is perfect for those who are looking to remove fat and focus on a muscular abdomen. High definition Vaser liposuction can help in developing that six-pack shape and enhancing an athletic figure.
The procedure can also target fibrous fat areas, particularly on the chest and back in men and can even help to create a Brazilian butt shape.
WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY DOES VASER LIPOSUCTION WORK BEST ON?
It can be used on any area that has fat, and it allows cosmetic surgeons to treat hard-to-reach areas, such as inner thighs, arms, chin and neck. The most popular areas treated are the stomach, as you’re able to create a defined six-pack, along with the chest (for men and women) and arms.

Argh, it sounds just as terrifying as the normal kind of lyposuction! Besides, doesn't your body just store fat in other areas once the fat cells around the stomach etc have been removed? So either way, good nutrition and plenty of exercise need to be involved! I'll spend my money on a walking holiday of South-East Asia thanks! haha

I don't think women should be invested into that, it's called diet and exercise. It's really pointless, and has many side effects and often women will put weight on in other areas afterwards.
